Please follow the steps listed bellow:

Complete and Submit the "DNA Immigration Request" form (Please include a copy of the letter from the Overseas Embassy or Canada Immigration Centre (CIC) which has requested the DNA testing with the completed Request form). Call Orchid Cellmark for more information about payment and fees.

Once the request form and payment have been received by Orchid Cellmark, a Customer Service representative will contact all of the parties to arrange blood collection in Canada. The Canadian Missions abroad will oversee blood collection for applicants who reside outside of Canada.

AT THE APPOINTMENT:

a.) Strict Identification Procedures are followed.

At the time of blood collection, each client will be required to provide 2 passport photos, identification documentation and a fingerprint.

Collection site personnel are trained and equipped with our supplies to provide this service for us. Please note: The collection sites are private labs and do not have specific information pertaining to Orchid Cellmark files.

b.) After blood sampling, the blood specimens and chain of custody documentation will be sent directly to Orchid Cellmark via an internationally recognized courier, ensuring that no one can tamper with, or change the specimens.

RESULTS:

Analysis generally takes 2 weeks after we receive all samples, at which time a Definition of Terms & Interpretation of Results will be forwarded to the sponsor or his legal counsel and the appropriate Canadian Mission.

In immigration testing, all exclusions will be stated as 0.00% probability of paternity or maternity.

In the event of inclusion, population statistics will used to determine the "likelihood" of the sponsor's biological-relationship. All inclusions for routine paternity and maternity tests are stated with a probability of paternity or maternity of greater than 99.9%. The probability is not guaranteed for other non-paternity, non-maternity tests.
