With the advent of DNA Identity Testing technology, it is now possible to bank a blood sample from an individual for future DNA testing postmortem. In this way, estates can be protected from false claims by a supposed relative. DNA testing in estate matters may also be possible, even if the Testator did not bank a biological specimen.
